About me
Hi, my name is Georgina! I’m an artist who focuses on graphic design, and I have a passion for working in the content creation and social media industry. I graduated from Temple University in 2021, where I earned a degree in Advertising with a dual concentration in Account Management and Art Direction.
I have worked as a graphic design assistant, a social media manager, and have done a variety of freelance work including; logos, promotional videos, board game designs, and social media makeovers. I have full working rights in Australia, the UK, and the US and will be getting permanent residency in Australia in early 2025.
Beauty is one of my biggest passions so, in addition to my freelance work, I also run a few Instagram accounts to show my other forms of art. My makeup account is where I post photos of makeup looks and products, as well as collaborate with brands to promote their products. I also founded iebeauty and run the brand’s Instagram account, where I post photographs of nail designs and other products. I love using makeup and nails as a way to express my creativity.
Cafe Chez Vous
Most recently, I’ve created consistent content for social media posts for a local cafe in Brisbane: Cafe Chez Vous.
While working at Cafe Chez Vous, I was responsible for running the Instagram account. I staged photoshoots in the cafe, took photographs of the food and drinks, created social media graphics, and wrote copy for all the social media posts. I also created the content calendar and ensured everything was posted on time.
In addition to my social media work for Cafe Chez Vous, I also designed a variety of printed content that was displayed in the store. I re-designed the menu boards and created posters to advertise the new additions to the menu.
Email marketing
Although the cafe didn’t require email marketing, I wanted to design some potential emails that would be sent out. I designed two to be sent out to introduce new menu items and one that advertised a buy one, get one promotion.
Instagram posts:
While running the cafe Instagram page I posted a mixture of graphics and photos of the cafes food/drinks. For each holiday and day the cafe would be closed I designed a graphic to be posted. With the new photographs and graphics, I gave the cafe’s Instagram account a consistent, clean feel that reflected the brand’s image and message. As a result, brand awareness and engagement increased on the Instagram page. Customers who came into the cafe would also comment on the Instagram and said how they liked seeing the food that the cafe offered.
Instagram Insights
By posting consistently I was able to increase awareness, engagement and reach. I was posting 3 times a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with a mixture of images and reels.
In the last month I was managing the account there was a 617% increase in reach, and a 78% increase in engagement. Awareness was also increased as customers who came into the cafe would often comment on the photos that where posted. While the decrease in following may be concerning, it appears that there were previous practices that didn't align with the cafes values of authenticity and integrity. As I managed the account I was dedicated to building a loyal and engaged following through meaningful interactions with our audience.

Freelance
My freelance work shown includes posters, videos, and various logos. These were for a variety of clients.
These cocktail posters were designed for a small business who wanted to show off their signature drinks they offered.
Local Google Reviewer
For this client, I design a new logo for his review website. I used Blender to create this low poly spinning globe.
Cold Cases of Cloverville
For this client, I helped design a murder mystery game for their Etsy shop. This included designing a variety of fake messages, receipts and papers. I also photoshopped images to create a fake cafe and a home security camera photo. I assisted with making character profiles which included descriptions, photos and names of the fake people.

Promotional video
While working as a freelance content creator, I also had the opportunity to create a promotional video for an author's new book release.

Logos
Throughout my time at Temple University and while working as a freelance content creator, I found that my favorite things to design are brand logos.
My favourite logos
TrueBlue
As the owner of this cryptocurrency coin is Australian, I decided to incorporate a well-known Australian animal into the logo: a koala.
2 Richards Inc. logo
This logo incorporates a “2” and an “R” to reflect the founders’ initials and company name. If you look closely, you can see them!
My process
When designing a logo I start of with sketching some ideas. This was the process for designing the Fat Cat Security logo. This is a logo for a new cyber security company.
I usually sketch on paper or in Procreate on my iPad. However, when ideas come to me I sketch them on anything I have. I got the idea to use coding symbols while at a cafe.
After finalising sketches and picking the best ones, I then use Adobe Illustrator to clean them up and make variations of them.
When the final design is picked, I add colour and
make the final adjustments.
Temple University Press
While studying at university, I also worked as a design assistant at Temple University Press. I created a variety of book covers and other graphics for academic books.
Sustainaphilly
While I did many projects while studying at Temple University, this one was my favourite. For this assignment, the class was split into teams of 3 to create a campaign about sustainability for the Connect 4 Climate organisation. Our group decided to create a sustainable restaurant week, which we called Sustainaphilly (a play on “sustainability” and “Philly,” where Temple is located). Our campaign consists of a radio ad, social media posts, recipe cards, napkins, SEPTA subway ads, and bus stop ads.
CTA: Think Globally, Eat Locally
Tagline: Eat Healthy, Eat Hearty
Art Director: Georgina Reeve
Art Director: Kim Holdredge
Copywriter: Colleen Williams
My group decided to make recipe cards. The cards are double sided: the front of the card lists the recipe, and the back has fun facts about the showcased restaurant’s sustainability efforts as well as Sustainaphilly’s tips for sustainable eating.
The napkins given out are made from biodegradable material and contain seeds to common vegetables and herbs like carrots and basil.
Additionally, we developed Instagram posts to draw attention to the event and made ads
that would be displayed on the subway line and on bus stops.
Along with my freelance work, I also created my own brand called iebeauty. I was responsible for creating all branding elements, including the logo, products, packaging, and social media posts.
I originally started iebeauty on Etsy and sold my hand-painted nail sets as well as handmade crafts. At the same time, I promoted the products on Instagram by creating unique graphics and photographs that highlighted my products. I continue to promote my nail designs on Instagram so that I can continue to interact with my customers and promote brand awareness.
I recently re-branded iebeauty to fit with the new aesthetic. I chose a cat to be the main icon because I love cats. The style of the cat, fun font and colour palette accentuate the playful nature of the brand.
The first launch of the rebrand is focusing on fruit. The nail set features hand-painted fruit on each nail.
Continuing with the fruit theme I created 6 felt fruit babies. These can also be turned into keychains.
Since the rebrand, iebeauty has seen an increase in engament and followers on the TikTok account. With the release of the fruit babies I decided to make them the main focus of the account. Viewers like the fun and playful nature of the videos and the use of trending sounds. Over the past 60 days there has been an increase I views profile lists, likes, comments, and shares.

While I love designing for clients and working on my passion projects, I also enjoy drawing and making short animations for my Instagram. This creative outlet allows me to explore different styles and techniques that I might not otherwise have the chance to experiment with in my client work. Plus, sharing my artwork on social media has allowed me to connect with other artists and creatives from around the world. I believe that having a creative hobby outside of work is important for maintaining a healthy work-life balance and keeping your creativity fresh and inspired.
